At the end of a stimulating and rewarding day, having enjoyed coffee, wine and lunch, you will leave us with a real sense of achievement and pride on having made everything on the menu yourself - but with no clearing up to be done! You can join us for a one off cookery class or sign up for several as each class is unique. Our classes are also perfect for gift ideas or for corporate team building events. 
For those with less spare time, why not join us for one of our short courses - perhaps a half day course will suit you or you can even fit in one of our 90 minute 'make and take' courses on the way home from work. Having enjoyed a glass of specially selected wine whilst you create your dish you will leave us with your evening meal all ready to enjoy!

Dinner in a hurry. Quick and healthy meals with fresh ingredientsHeld at The Milestone (Full Day)

Simple enjoyable fast food is easy and quick to prepare, stress free and cheap. This course will show you how family meals can be prepared after a stressful day at the office in a short amount of time. All of the dishes are easily prepared in under half an hour.

Examples of previous dishes include:

Prawn, chickpea and spinach thai style curry, chilli and coriander zinger burger, Morrocan spiced lamb koftas with fruity cous cous stuffed pitas, poached salmon with a tomato and bean ragu.

Manisha Patel will be our guest chef for the day a Milestone family friend and an amazing cook!

This course will take you through the steps of filleting, scaling and pin boning a variety of fish types, including flat, round, oily and fresh water. You will then cook dishes with the fish you have prepared earlier in the day and learn the various techniques for cooking with different types of fish.

We will show you how to make a variety of complex breads using fresh yeast, dried yeasts and even no yeast.

In our full day course, dedicated to our favourite animal, learn how to utilise every part of the pig. You will learn everything from curing to filleting.

The Milestone is renowned for using exclusive, local, rare breed pigs, and in this two and a half hour we will show you how to make home-made bacon, sausages and black pudding. It will include demonstrations as well as hands on sessions. You will learn everything there is to know about this lovable beast!

Pasta is the ultimate comfort food, but not many people realise just how easy it is to make fresh, and how much more flavoursome it can be than dried pasta.

Along with gnocchi, these basic staples can form some of the most filling and delicious dishes in the world, and we are here to show you exactly how it's done!

Book on to this course for a full day, including lunch and learn how to make a variety of different types of fresh pasta and sauces to go with them.
